The Los Angeles Angels placed left fielder Garret Anderson on the 15-day disabled list Friday because of a tear in his right hip flexor tendon. The move is retroactive to April 28, the day after Anderson hurt himself running out a grounder against the Chicago White Sox. Anderson had an MRI exam Friday, with results showing the tear.
