The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers both had a chance to grab the lead in the AL Central with two games left. Neither team could take advantage of the opportunity. The Tigers blew a five-run lead in a 9-7, 11-inning loss to the Kansas City Royals on Friday night and the Twins’ ninth-inning rally fell short in a 4-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
